Mkay's Tricks Guide [P4]
So, you're lookin' to teach your pet some new moves. Maybe to pizazz up gameplay, maybe to show off to all yur little friendz down at the market, but whatever it is, you want to know the coolest trick, amirite? Of course, so let's begin! Before we get into all the super duper neat tricks, we have to get down to the nitty gritty. Treats may seem like the average training reward, but they are much more than that.
TREATS
You can wiggle a treat above, below, to the left, or to the right of your pet to get a trick out of them. Every treat can allow your pet to learn new tricks. If you teach your pet to sit with the bones treats, it can learn a different trick with the cheese. Although, if you try to teach it with the t-bone treat, the pet will forget what it learned with the bone treat because they are considered the same by the game.
The game treats bone treats and t-bone treats as the same, Treats cotton candy, popcorn, and "luv" treats the same, and registers olive treats and goldfish crackers as the same. The chicken treat is on it's own, and healthy treats don't work. Cheese does count as a treat! To teach a pet a trick, you wiggle a treat and wait for a trick you like. If you like the trick, you drop the treat. As soon as you let go of the treat, the pet gets "praised" and it learns to do that trick a little more. If you drop a treat by accident, the pet will be praised for whatever it has done. If you are repetitive with training the pet will learn what it's being praised for. A few slipups here and there will not effect the pet.
A pet can only learn a total of 25 tricks, so choose wisely. 5 tricks per treat box, and there are about 5 treat boxes. Downloaded treat boxes will register in the game as whatever they are hexed off of. There is around 36-40 tricks in the game, depending on what you count as a trick.
